2- Syria is as much of an enemy to Lebanon as Israel is. Lebanese blood spilled by Syrians is as “pure” and “holly’ as that spilled by the Israelis.

3- Sectarianism is as Lebanese as “taboule” and “hummus”. (A campaign to reclaim sectarianism might be necessary!)

4- “National Unity” is a myth. Oil and water will never mix.

5- Lebanese politicians were not droped by parachutes into the Lebanese political scene. Whether one likes it or not, every politician represents a certain segment of the population.

Until Lebanese recognize these facts, moving forward will only be a move backward.
